The Palmerton Area School District announces that schools will be closed on Friday September 3rd, 2010 and Monday, September 6th, 2010      in observance of the Labor Day Holiday.

Monthly Message from PenDOT: August – school bus safety
It’s that time when school buses are everywhere. If a school bus has its lights flashing and stop arm extended, you must stop. The only exception is if you are on the opposite side of a highway divided by a concrete barrier or grassy median. If you are following or traveling alongside a school bus, the law also requires you to stop at least 10 feet away. Learn more about the school bus stopping law and penalties for violations at www.DriveSafePA.org.

The 2010 high school yearbooks have arrived. Alumni may pick up their orders after school in B-108 between 2:30 and 3:30.  In order to pick up your order during the day, you must call the office the day before so that your book is sent to the office. No one will be admitted into the building before 2:30 without prior arrangements. Extra books are available for $45 cash (exact change, please).

1st Annual SS Palmer/Parkside & Towamensing PTO's Health & Services Fair will be held on Saturday September 18, 2010 from 9am-3pm at the Palmerton High School.
