HS Connet Ed Message – March 19th & 21st

Hello.  This is Paula Husar, principal of Palmerton Area Senior High School.  On Tuesday, March 16, the Palmerton Area School Board approved two learning platforms for the high school moving forward.  The new platforms will take effect on April 5.  One option is to return to school (in person) five days a week.  The other option is being completely virtual every day.  Parents and guardians will be given an opportunity to complete an online commitment form to indicate the appropriate learning platform for their child.  (A completed form will be needed for each child.)declare your child’s learning platform.  This form must be completed by noon (12:00 PM) on March 22.  If you have any questions about completing the form or questions about either of the learning platforms, please do not hesitate to contact me at 610 826-3155 ext. 2214 or at phusar@palmerton.org.  Please note that this deadline is firm.

If the form is not completed prior to the deadline, your child will be assigned a learning platform based on the following guidelines.  If they were hybrid, they will be expected to come to school five days per week.  If they were virtual, they will remain completely virtual.

The form is not required for half-time CCTI students as their schedule remains unchanged in both schools except for Fridays.  These students will attend school at Palmerton Area Senior High School on Fridays.

Again, if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.  Have a nice weekend.

Hello.  This is Paula Husar, principal of Palmerton Area Senior High School.  I hope you are having a nice weekend.  This is just a friendly reminder.  If you have not yet completed the online commitment form that identifies your child’s learning platform for the rest of the school year, it is important that you do so as soon as possible.  The deadline for doing this is noon on Monday.  If you do not complete the form, we will select your child’s learning platform as follows:  If your child is currently virtual, they will remain that way for the rest of the school year.  If they are currently hybrid, they will be expected to return to school five days per week.  There will be no exceptions to this deadline.  As you can imagine, we have a number of things to do for this full return to school in order to comply with the state guidelines.  Thank you for your cooperation.  Again, if you have any questions at all, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Thank you.
