Hello. This is Paula Husar, principal of Palmerton Area Senior High School. First, I have a message for our Hybrid students and their parents. Your children have done a great job here in school with regard to social distancing and following all the new rules. We realize that at this age, we should be giving our high school students more independence. However, given the circumstances, the students have handled things well. They are doing a great job and everyone is impressed. It is also quite evident that as parents, you have prepared your children well for these circumstances. They are truly organized and prepared, so I thank you.
For our Virtual students and parents, I can say that attendance has been good. We have some areas where we have to do some work, but for the most part, things are going well. Please know that in the near future. we will be putting some things in place to keep students from logging in late to a class. Meanwhile, please remind your children that they need to attend all classes and also be on time for those classes.
Letters have been sent home from the school nurse with more information concerning daily student wellness questions. Please read the letter carefully.
Just a reminder … today we were completely virtual (Friday). In accordance with the district and building plan, all students will be virtual on this day. Again, all of our students will be responsible for attending all their classes online and also being on time for the start of those classes.
And finally, please return all paperwork promptly, particularly those forms that needed a parent signature.
Thank you again for your support, patience, and understanding as we navigate through this situation.
