Hello. This is Paula Husar, principal of Palmerton Area Senior High School. I realize that today was certainly not ideal. In addition to the snow, there were technical issues related to internet access as well as Schoology. And we still have a number of students who have not yet picked up their books and materials for the second semester. So here’s the plan. The next time we are in school, materials can be picked up during our enrichment / lunch blocks from 10:00 AM to 11:45 AM. You can also pick up these materials from 2:05 PM to 4:00 pm. The school was closed for the last two days and will also be closed on Wednesday, February 3. Per the superintendent’s announcement, we will be fully remote tomorrow, February 3. The related schedule has already been released multiple times now. It is Schedule B: Virtual Snow Day Schedule.
I realize that it certainly is not ideal that many of our students have not had a chance to pick up their books and class materials for the start of our new semester. Our teachers are aware of this and should be planning assignments accordingly.
