Jan 4, 2021
Hello. This is Paula Husar, principal of Palmerton Area Senior High School. This is just a friendly reminder that at the moment, we are scheduled to return to our hybrid model beginning on January 4. This is the first day of school after the holiday break. Monday, January 4, is a blue day. Only the blue hybrid students should return to school that day.
Hopefully, everyone will be following the regulations and staying close to home for the holidays. Keep in mind that if you do travel out of state, the state quarantine guidelines must be followed. Those guidelines are included in the newsletter from our nurse. If you have any questions, you can e-mail or call. I will be checking my messages over the break. Also, if any students are exposed to someone with the virus, please contact me and we will determine the appropriate return date to school. This only applies to those students participating in the hybrid model.
Also, as noted in the High School Health and Safety Plan, a family may change their selection of hybrid or virtual at the end of the first semester. We will be doing our best to accommodate all requests. A related survey is posted on the district website. The weblink can be found under PASD High School Semester 2 Survey. Our second semester begins on January 28. This option will only be in place if the district is still participating in the hybrid option at that point.
I wish everyone a relaxing, healthy, and happy holiday season. Hopefully the start of 2021 will bring a return to normalcy for everyone, especially our students!
