This summer CCTI will again be hosting a summer camp to promote non-traditional careers and enrollment in their programs. Non-traditional careers are those that are typically filled by one gender more than the other. For example, electrical construction is typically filled by men. A woman in that field would be in a non-traditional career. There are many exciting and fulfilling opportunities for women and men in non-traditional fields. Our camp will teach girls about CCTI and those opportunities through fun and practical activities in carpentry, auto service, electronics engineering, and computer engineering. The camp will teach boys about CCTI and career opportunities through fun and practical activities in culinary arts, cosmetology, health medical assistant, and graphic design.
The 8 day camp is scheduled for June 17-20 and June 24-27. The hours will be from 8:00 a.m. -2:00 p.m.
Lunch will be provided and the transportation pick up and drop off locations will likely be the middle schools in the respective districts. More information will be supplied to those interested. There is no cost for the camp.
